How the price is calculated
Why so cheap
Big platforms add 15–25% on top and lock your money in escrow. RentMe keeps it simple: the guest pays a 10% prepayment online at booking, and the rest goes to the host in person. Listing is free for hosts, and each side handles its own taxes in its own jurisdiction.
What about safety?
- All hosts pass basic verification: email + phone. Business accounts – plus a company name.
- Every chat has an "Invite admin" button. A moderator sees the thread and helps resolve disputes.
- Cash deposit at pickup – the host's guarantee. Returned when the item comes back in good shape.
- The online payment is protected by Stripe and covered by its chargeback protocol.
